Ingredients
    Panna Cotta:
  • 1 Cup Whole Milk
  • 1 Tbsp Gelatine Powder
  • 65g/2.3oz Sugar
  • Pinch salt
  • 1 Tsp Vanilla Essence
  • 2 Cups Double Cream (Heavy Cream)
  • Strawberry Sauce:
  • 450g/15.9oz Strawberries (cut in half)
  • 2 Tbsp Water
  • ¼ Cup Sugar
Method
    Panna Cotta:
  1. Place the milk in a saucepan and sprinkle the gelatine on top. Stir and let it stand for 10 minutes.

  2. On low heat, add the sugar and salt and stir till until they both dissolve. Remove from heat and add the vanilla essence.

  3. Place the cream in a large jug, pour in the milk and give a quick stir. Pour evenly into your glasses and refrigerate until set.

  4. Strawberry Sauce:
  5. Put the strawberries in a saucepan with the water and sugar. Bring to simmer stirring all the time and remove from heat immediately.

  6. Pour into blender and blend to a smooth sauce.

  7. Pass through a strainer to remove the seeds.

  8. Cover and let it cool to room temperature then refrigerate until ready to serve.

Note
  • To make the panna cotta at an angle (tall glass) gelatine needs to be added to the strawberry sauce.
  • This is just for the tall glass; sprinkle 1 teaspoon gelatine over a little water in a small bowl to absorb the gelatine, then microwave for a few seconds to dissolve the gelatine.
  • Leave to cool if hot, then mix in with the strawberry puree. You can omit this process by making the panna cotta layer first as in the other cups.
