Fried Cabbage with Bacon

Bacon is fried until crispy, then sautéed with cabbage, mustard, and smoked paprika for an irresistible sweet, savoury, and Smokey flavour.

Ingredients
  • 1 Large cabbage, chopped
  • 200g/7oz Streaky bacon, chopped
  • 1 Small Onion, diced
  • 3 Cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 Tsp Dijon Mustard
  • 1 Tsp Smoked Paprika
  • Salt & Pepper
Method
  1. In a large skillet, cook the bacon over medium heat until it’s crispy. Remove and set it aside, leaving the bacon drippings in the skillet.
  2. Add the onion to the skillet and cook until softened, then add the minced garlic, paprika and mustard, salt and pepper and give it a stir to combine.
  3. Add the chopped cabbage, stirring to combine for another 10-15 minutes, until the cabbage is tender and begins to caramelize.
  4. Toss the bacon back in, and stir it all together.
  5. Enjoy!
