Fried Lampuki

Lampuki is the Maltese name for the dorado, dolphinfish, or mahi-mahi. A type of fish typically found in and around the waters of Malta during autumn. It is a white, meaty fish with a delicate flavour and is one of Malta's favourite foods.

Ingredients
  • Lampuki (cut into portions)
  • Plain Flour
  • Salt & Pepper
  • ¼ Cup Olive Oil
Method
  1. Cut off the head and tail of the fish. Wash and cut the fish into portions.

  2. In a small bowl or dish mix flour, salt and pepper together.

  3. Heal olive oil in a pan.

  4. Roll lampuki fillets in seasoned flour and fry on all sides on low heat until golden.

  5. Enjoy!
