Melon Balls

I love eating Melon! It's refreshing flavour and decorative appearance makes it a versatile ingredient in various dishes. Here is an easy and simple idea of how they can be a pretty addition served on your table among food or platters!

Ingredients
  • Melon (any kind is fine - washed and dried)
Method
  1. Cut the melon in half, and slice a piece from the bottom of each half so that you can steady the halves while you work. If it's a cantaloupe-type melon, scrape out all the seeds and discard them.

  2. Plunge the edge of the melon baller into the melon, and rotate the edge all the way around to make a perfect sphere. (Keep at it, and you'll get the hang of it!)

  3. Put the balls in the bowl. Repeat until you've balled up all the useable fruit, then discard the rind — or put the melon balls back into it, to be fancy. 

  4. Enjoy!
