Smoked Salmon Appetizer

If there's anything we love, is a good, easy appetizer! These salmon festive puff pastry bites are so simple to make and incredibly good!

Ingredients
  • 150g/5.3oz Smoked Salmon, roughly chopped
  • 150g/5.3oz Herb Cream Cheese Spread
  • Cucumber, sliced
  • 2 Tbsp Fresh or Dried Dill
  • 2 Rectangular Puff Pastry Sheets
  • Sesame Seeds
  • Beaten Egg for eggwash
  • Star Cutter (approximately 7cm)
Method
  1. Preheat oven to 200C/400F.
  2. Fold over the pastry sheet so it will be double the thickness and press it together. Cut 8 stars from each sheet and place on a lined baking tray.
  3. Brush the top with beaten egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake in oven until golden. Remove from oven and leave to cool completely.
  4. Cut the pastry stars in half. Fill bottom slices with cheese spread, top with a slice of cucumber, salmon and a sprinkle of dill.
  5. Garnish with a sprinkle of dill on top.
  6. Enjoy!
