Ingredients

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 200C/400F.
  2. Leave the first sheet of pastry on its baking paper and spread the nutella on top. Cover with the second sheet of pastry.
  3. Place the pastry in the freezer for 15 minutes before cutting the shape and branches (this will make it much easier to cut without dirtying everything).
  4. Cut the base first and seal the edges with the tip of a small pointed knife. (Not to waste, keep the cut sides. Cut into strips, twist and bake separately.)
  5. Cur 16 branches going all the way round. Twist and turn 2 times towards the top of the tree, then as you lay it down pinch the edge and press down onto the paper.
  6. Cut out triangular eyes and mouth, (just the top of the pastry).

  7. Brush the pastry with beaten egg and bake in oven for about 20 minutes, until golden.
  8. Enjoy!
