Kisir Turkish Bulgar Salad

This Turkish Couscous is a delicious and refreshing salad made with bulgur wheat and then mixed with fresh vegetables, aromatic spice and a tangy dressing. It’s great enjoyed on its own but also perfect as a side dish with any meat.

Ingredients

Method

  1. Wash the Al Amier Bulgur Couscous and drain and put it in a saucepan with the Jurgen Langbein Chicken Liquid Stock and water. 

  2. Boil, then simmer covered for 10 minutes. When ready, transfer to a large bowl. 

  3. Use a fork to fluff up the couscous. Add the Olive oil, Baharat spice and Liakada Avjar/cream of paprika to taste, adding more or less to taste. 

  4. Let the couscous cool completely then add the tomatoes, cucumber, fresh herbs and lemon juice. Season with fresly ground pepper and mix everything together. 

  5. Serve immediately or cover with clingfilm and keep refrigerated until serving. 

  6. Enjoy!

Note

  • Baharat Spice Mix is a mixed seasoning of paprika, coriander, cumin, nutmeg, chilli, cardamom, clove and pepper. A great seasoning mix that will give your bulgur or couscous a nice kick in taste! It can also be used on meat, fish, chicken and potato dishes.
