Pear Blue Cheese Salad

Impress your dinner guests with this amazing Vertical Pear Blue Cheese Salad. Serve as an elegant appetizer, light lunch or side dish. It’s so easy to make and incredible delicious!

Method

  1. Cut pears horizontally into 3 or 4 slices depending on the size of your pears. (Mine were big so I used 1 slice chopped mixed in the salad.)

  2. Use a pairing knife to cut out the cores. The pieces should look like an 0. Leave the stem on the top piece.

  3. Squeeze slices of pears with lime juice to keep them from browning. 

  4. Fill a small bowl or soup plate with mixed lettuce leaves and drizzle vinaigrette dressing on top.

  5. Reassemble the pear, vertically with chopped pecans and blue cheese in between each slice. 

  6. Add more pecans and blue cheese on top of the salad leaves around the pear.

  7. Once assembled, drizzle with honey and serve.
