Mixed Berry Trifle with layers of Sponge, Custard, Strawberry, Yoghurt and Mixed Berry Sauce
This mixed berry trifle is a family favourite and is always a hit with my guests! Great for any occasion and serves a crowd.
Mixed Berry Trifle with layers of Sponge, Custard, Strawberry, Yoghurt & Mixed Berry Sauce
Ingredients
Method
Berry Sauce:

Heat berries in small saucepan until they are soft crushing them with a fork.

Add the caster sugar, lemon zest and 4 tablespoons water and cook until thick.

Remove from heat and leave to cool completely.
Strawberry Layer:

Whisk the philadelphia cheese until soft and smooth.

Add strawberry yogurt a little at a time mixing until smooth and well combined.
Assemble:

Trifle is made up with 3 layers in this order:
- Sponge in the bottom
- Top with a little custard
- Add some of the yogurt
- Drizzle around the edge of your trifle dish with the berry sauce and add a few drops in the center

Repeat 2 times ending with berry sauce and fruit.

Cover the trifle with clingfilm and refrigerate until ready to serve.
